Fulvant (Fulvestrant Injection)

Fulvant (Fulvestrant Injection)

Molecular Salt: Fulvestrant Injection

Fulvant (Fulvestrant Injection 250 mg)

Fulvant (Fulvestrant Injection) is a cancer drug. It is prescribed to treat breast (estrogen-dependent) cancer in women going through menopause. It is available as an injection. Fulvestrant, which contains Fulvant, is a Selective Estrogen Receptor Degrader (SERD). Breastfeeding is not recommended. To avoid further complications, the doctor should be informed about the risks and benefits of using these injections (before taking them).

Pharmacodynamics

Fulvant (Fulvestrant Injection) is an anti-estrogen. It acts as an estrogen receptor (ER) antagonist and a selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD). It binds to estrogen receptors. Fulvant makes them more hydrophobic, which in turn makes the receptors unstable and wobbly. Hence, it carries out the normal process in the cell to break it down.
