What is calcium leucovorin injection?
It is used as an adjuvant cancer care treatment to –
- Reduce the toxicity
- Side effects of chemotherapy
- Enhance chemotherapy efficacy
Uses of leucovorin
- Colorectal cancer (adjuvant to 5-fluorouracil)
- Rescue therapy after methotrexate, trimethoprim and methotrexate therapy
- Adjuvant to anti-folate agents in blood cancer, lymphomas, solid tumors, etc.
